Rafael C. Davis began his real estate journey at just 16 years old in Santa Rosa, CA, diving into the industry as soon as he got his first car. As an assistant to one of the top real estate agents in the region, he gained hands-on experience with a diverse portfolio—ranging from mobile homes to multi-million-dollar estates.
After seven formative years, Rafael transitioned into the lending side of the business, joining Countrywide Home Loans as a loan processor. This behind-the-scenes experience gave him a deeper understanding of the financial engine that drives real estate transactions.
In pursuit of new opportunities, Rafael moved to San Francisco and joined Vanguard Properties as their receptionist and “Director of First Impressions.” As the face and voice of the company, he took pride in creating a warm, professional atmosphere while expanding his network through restaurant openings, magazine events, and the city’s vibrant social scene.
Recognized for his charisma and attention to detail, Rafael was soon recruited as the Director of Leasing for a major property management firm at the height of the city’s rental boom in 2012. In this role, he worked closely with San Francisco’s elite—ranging from tech royalty and high-net-worth individuals to public figures and politicians—curating luxury rental experiences tailored to a discerning clientele.
Today, Rafael brings his passion and expertise to Compass Real Estate at the Beach Street office, working alongside his best friend and trusted partner, Camron Paul. Together, they recently closed Rafael’s first major sale—a $10 million transaction—marking a milestone in his transition from leasing to high-end sales.
Still deeply connected to the luxury leasing market, Rafael is now stepping confidently into the world of elite property sales, combining his extensive industry experience, deep local network, and client-first philosophy to deliver exceptional results at every level.
